TIRE SIPING

Siping is an inexpensive procedure that will improved the performance of any new or used tire while braking, accelerating and driving on wet or icy road conditions. Siping works year round and and is a sensible alternative to using studed tires.

Simply put, 'siping' is the process of making many small cuts known as 'sipes' across the tread of a tire. This allows for many more 'edges' with which your tire can then grip a slick surface, like an icy roadway.
